Biography
Dr. Saswata Deb, is an Emergency Physician and Clinician Scientist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Sunnybrook Research Institute. He is an Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine, in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, at the University of Toronto. He has completed a PhD from the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation in Clinical Epidemiology focused on clinical trials on factors improving survival after coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. His research interests are addressing racial disparities and equitable health and cardiovascular emergencies including prehospital cardiac resuscitation, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, and acute aortic syndrome.
