Gemma Postill
MD/PhD Student
Biography
Gemma is a 3rd year MD/PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine. She is currently in the PhD portion of her degree stuyding Clinical Epidemiology at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Gemma’s PhD is focused on long-term, patient-centered prognostication of traumatic injuries in older adults. Gemma is also the Education Learner Co-Lead at the Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM). At First60, Gemma is assisting with a retrospective review of adherence to regional ROTEM standards in the care of trauma patients as well as supporting various projects related to machine learning, trauma, and long-term outcomes.
